New York and Boston

It is my birthday weekend and I couldn't head out to Columbus, OH to watch 'SC play against the Buckeyes. So I opted to fly to the East Coast and catch a couple of baseball games and visit some friends. Did a whirlwind sports day in New York, arrived at 7 am and took a power nap. Went to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yanks/Orioles game and see the new stadium in all its glory. Afterwards, we went to this Korean BBQ chicken place called Bon Chon Chicken. There are several locations and we visited the one at 314 Fifth Avenue (32nd Street), second floor. Not the easiest to find as the door is very undescript. The best fried chicken ever and they had good sushi rolls. I'm definitely going back to LA and look up the locations and have more of this tasty meal. We went on to dessert and I had the best cream puffs from Choux Factory. There are several in the city and we went to Midtown East location at 865 1st Ave(between 48th St & 49th St).

Spent the rest of the night watching the football game and boarded a 3 am train to Boston via Amtrak. While in Boston, we stayed at the Hampton Inn Boston/Cambridge. The hotel was undergoing renovations but it was still a comfortable stay. Conveniently located across the street from the Lechmere station.

Walked around the city and saw various historical sites and enjoyed the historical feel of the city. Caught a Red Sox game and immensely enjoyed the stadium with its simplicity and tasty stadium food. By far, the most enjoyable stadium food I've had.

Also, visited the USS Constitution and walked around the oldest warship in the US fleet.

I did try to visit a restaurant that I really enjoyed in a previous visit. The Green Street Grill in Cambridge on 280 Green Street. Unfortunately, the restaurant was only open for dinner and I didn't have time for a meal. Slightly funky Carribean style food, I will have to come back again for their goat curry.
